CONCLUSIONJacket design: 'Yue design'
Embroided or printed: Fully embroided (both school logo and the entire 'Yue' design are embroided)
Type of school logo used: the school logo on PE shirt
Material: Cotton with a bit of polyester, fleece on the underside (somewhat like modern dance jacket material, but slightly thinner)
Type of jacket: Zipper, no hood, no stripes
COMMENTS:
-For the 'Yue' design, the words can be moved down by abt 2 inches if not it looks rather squished. Looks nicer if the words are red like the stamp's colour.
-Maybe can change the font a bit.
-A neater font for the 'nanyang chinese orchestra' words
yup, so designer xinyi can refine her designs based on the suggestions given!
YUP! EVERYTHING'S FINALIZED! All results are based on the majority's decision. i'll send all these details to the supplier and get her to send me the quotation of our jacket. I'll post the price of our jacket on the blog after I've received her quotation. Meanwhile, if you have any queries, feel free to contact me at sheila_928@hotmail.com
Thankyou to those who designed the jacket (esp xinyi! (:), the sls for collating the votes and everyone for being so enthu about the co jacket! (:
Lastly, i would like to inform all that the cca results will be announced this wk and the sec 1s shd be coming this wk. Cherie and I will be meeting Mrs Ee tmr to discuss on when the sec 1s are coming. So please give the sec 1s a warm welcome when they come k! (:

Materials and Cuttings/Style?black pullover with hood and kangaroo pocket in front, fleece material
black pullover with v-shape cut, fleece material
dark brown pullover, fleece material
white cotton jacket (similar to the material of shooting and chinese debate club jacket)
jacket similar to the ny badminton jacket
jacket with similar material as ny wushu/chinese drama jacket, with embroided logo
jacket with similar material as ny wushu/chinese drama jacket, reversible (meaning u can also wear it with the inner layer on the outside)
the piece of brown cloth which i mentioned. it's cotton with a bit of polyester and fleece on the underside. somewhat similar to the material of the modern dance jacket. if we're deciding on this material, we'll most probably be using this shade of brown. tell me if u have violent objections to this shade of brown. but pls note that they do not have all shades of the different colours.
Gold and Silver imprintsgold imprint on black
silver imprint on black
the above are the gold and silver imprints on black base. i think the gold on black looks nice! but strings ensemble is getting black jacket with gold imprint. btw, it is true that using gold n silver imprints will be SLIGHTLY more expensive.
SizesXS on sheila
S on laiweng
M on laiweng
L on laiweng
last but not least, these are the sizes. they're all unisex standard sizes. they do not have man's cut or lady's cut. the sizes are rather huge. tall people like laiweng fits just nice with S-sized jacket. yup. so pls consider about the size that u're gonna get!
pls click on the pics to have a better view as they seem to have been covered by a translucent layer, so the shades arent accurate on the blog.
another suggested design
edited version of our intended design
the shades may not be exactly like this, i'll go to the shop to take a look at the colours. shall attempt to take pics of the colours (if it's allowed).
perhaps i shd juz paste ms lee's reply here to let u all understand her thoughts.

I like the smart look of the new NYGH jacket. I understand that all sec 1s are required to purchase the jacket, which means they would already have one jacket for the school.
Why don't we all try to compromise? Rather than to make another windbreaker sort of jacket which does not look smart at all, why don't we think along the line of making a badge, similar to the councilor's badge, which may be pinned onto the jacket. Maybe we could negotiate with the school to allow the badge/pin to be pinned on the hongzi as well. That would set us apart from the rest of the students without having to purchase too many pieces of clothing. Consider, in the 4 years in NYGH, there would be class T-shirts/jackets, CCA T-shirts, Lifeskills camp T-shirts, special anniversary T-shirts, let's try not to create more waste than necessary
Lee Shan Shan
-------------------------------------------------------------------
actually we cant blame ms lee entirely becos her point is to prevent us from wasting money on another clothing which is rather expensive and unnecessary. i know all of us wouldnt mind, after all it's our very own jacket, it's OUR own jacket right? haha! (of course i wanna have a co jacket! n i can FULLY understand how u guys feel abt co collar pins n the current sch jacket.. xP) but thinking frm her perspective, it may be quite demanding for the sec 1s as they'll have to buy many things, such as instruments, tuner, co jacket, score books etc. n u guys should know that all these are very expensive, especially paying all at one go. so i'll try to let her know that we dont mind buying another clothing and we sincerely want a co jacket. as for the sec 1s, we will ask for their opinions after they've entered nyco. if they feel that it's too taxing, they can make it again a few years later, as well as for their juniors then. can? (:
